From 1 July 2022, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) will be dissolved, and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) will take over the responsibility for NHS functions and budgets. We will become part of NHS Humber and North Yorkshire ICB. You can continue to use this website to find the information you need, which remains relevant for the Hull area.

Put your best foot forward this May and join people from all over Hull for National Walking Month.

Taking place throughout May, National Walking Month encourages people to hit the streets and enjoy the lighter evenings and warmer weather.

From ditching your car and walking into work, to days out with the family, there are hundreds of ways to add walking into your daily life.

Just 20 minutes of brisk walking a day reduces the risk of preventable conditions like heart disease, cancer, depression and Type 2 diabetes – small steps with big health benefits.

If you’re looking for inspiration this National Walking Month; never fear, as we’ve put together a handy guide to help you step into success.

East or west Hull? Show your colours and feel better for it.

Join Hull FC and Hull Kingston Rovers as they celebrate National Walking Month by encouraging people to record the number of walks that they complete.

Black and white or red and white – which team’s fans can chalk up the most miles?

Taking part is easy; simply get going and for every 20 minutes of brisk walking you do, you’ll earn a tick. Record these and submit them to us. Everyone that takes part and returns their logged walks will receive a certificate.

You can log your walks online here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/TufHNWM2019 or you can download and print a paper sheet here. Good luck!

Dump the wheels

Making small changes to your daily routine can be a great way to bring walking into your life.  Try walking into work or leave the car at home and head to the shops on foot instead.

Stuck for something to do over the long weekend? Grab the family and head to one of the city’s many parks and green spaces. With playgrounds and wildlife, a walk can become a fun day out for the whole family.

Join a local group
Throughout May dozens of community and charity groups will be holding their own walking events. From buggy-pushes for parents, to walking –sports and organised trails; there’s something for everyone.

Keep your eye on our Hull 2020 Champions Facebook page and Twitter account, as we’ll be posting dates and times throughout the month.
