From 1 July 2022, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) will be dissolved, and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) will take over the responsibility for NHS functions and budgets. We will become part of NHS Humber and North Yorkshire ICB. You can continue to use this website to find the information you need, which remains relevant for the Hull area.

BackCare Hull and East Riding

The Branch, formed in 1995 is a self-help group run by members for members.  We offer a range of services and activities including:

 

Meetings

Held at Centre 88, Saner St.(opposite East Yorkshire garage on Anlaby Rd. near the flyover), Hull HU3 2TR on the first Tuesday of the month at 1.30 pm. Visiting speakers, information and social activities. Occasionally outside events are arranged instead of the meeting.

 

 Loan service

 Branch or National members may borrow these items for a month to try at home or in your car.

 

Walk Back to Health Walks in the countryside around Hull. The group is friendly and new members are made very welcome. Information given at meetings, by phone or email.

 

Easy Line Dancing

Held at 37th Avenue Community Centre, 9.45am on the third Thursday monthly.  Come along to dance or just to watch and have a cup of tea. For further information contact Joy.

 

Newsletter and Social activities

The Branch newsletter keeps you up-to-date with our activities.

Social activities include a Petanque tournament, Christmas lunch, social afternoon etc.

 

 

Alternative Aquatics

Gentle therapeutic exercise to music in hydrotherapy pool.  An opportunity for exercise and relax.  After warming up, members do mobility, stretching and body toning exercises. Also an opportunity to try Ai Chi.

 

Membership

National or Branch Membership is open to anyone.

Some activities are restricted to members only. Branch membership cost £5 per year.
