From 1 July 2022, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) will be dissolved, and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) will take over the responsibility for NHS functions and budgets. We will become part of NHS Humber and North Yorkshire ICB. You can continue to use this website to find the information you need, which remains relevant for the Hull area.

Mental health and wellbeing

Mental health is as important as physical health.

On the following pages you will find information on how to stay mentally well and look after your wellbeing. You’ll also find details of how to access support for yourself or a loved one.

Most people experience ups and downs in their life, and can feel unhappy, depressed, stressed or anxious during difficult times. Many difficult events and experiences can also leave us in low spirits or cause depression; this is a normal part of life.

Other factors which can affect your mental health include changes to hormones such as during puberty, after childbirth and during the menopause.

Having said this, sometimes it is possible to feel down without there being an obvious reason.

All the support services are non-judgemental and confidential.
