From 1 July 2022, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) will be dissolved, and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) will take over the responsibility for NHS functions and budgets. The Health and Wellbeing Board

The Hull Health and Wellbeing Board is a statutory committee of Hull City Council that offers a unique partnership approach to improve health and wellbeing in the City of Hull.

Membership includes representation from senior officers at Hull CCG and the Council, elected cabinet members, public health, adult social care, children’s services, Healthwatch and wider membership which now includes the voluntary sector, Hull Learning Partnership and the Police and Crime Commissioner. The Chair is Councillor Hester Bridges and the Deputy Chair is CCG Chair Dr Dan Roper.

One of the responsibilities of the Hull Health and Wellbeing Board is to carry out a Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA)  to focus attention where it is needed most, with this information the board are able to develop a Health and Wellbeing Strategy which aims to address health inequalities across the City.

The Hull Health and Wellbeing Board works strategically to make Hull a fairer city where everyone has the opportunity for a healthy life. The work of the board also includes housing, fair economic growth, deprivation, poverty, and leisure and cultural services, all of which have an impact on health, wellbeing, health inequalities and life expectancy.

The Health and Wellbeing Board meetings are open to the public, although certain items may need to be considered confidentially. Papers will be made available one week in advance of the board meetings and can be accessed via the Hull City Council website link below.
