NHS Hull CCG is delighted to announce sponsorship of The RB Hull Marathon, joining Principal Sponsor RB and 4 other Main Sponsors in lending their support to one of the city’s major sporting events.

Emma Latimer, NHS Hull CCG Chief Officer said they were delighted to sponsor the marathon:

“We’re always looking to encourage people in the city to lead a healthy, active lifestyle, and the marathon encompasses this perfectly. The race acts as great inspiration not only for those involved, but those thinking about being more active too, so it is fantastic to be involved.”

“Last year two CCG relay teams entered the race which created a great buzz in our office. This year, the build up to the marathon will be even more exciting as we will be able to see the excitement on a larger scale through being a sponsor.”

Ms Latimer also hoped that their support for the event would encourage many others to get involved.

“I’d encourage anyone thinking about getting involved in the marathon to do so, whether you’re a beginner, seasoned runner, or even thinking about joining up as one of the Marathon Makers – I’ll see you at the starting line!”

Marathon Race Director Phil Haskins said:

“We very much welcome this support from Hull CCG. Running at any level is a great way to stay fit and lead a healthy lifestyle. Their support for our event is a recognition of this and an ideal fit with their focus on improving the city’s health.”

With a full marathon and relays for teams of 2 and 4 runners, the RB Hull Marathon caters for a wide range of abilities.  With 5 months to go till race day, the arrival of spring and the longer days, now is the perfect time to start training.
