From 1 July 2022, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) will be dissolved, and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) will take over the responsibility for NHS functions and budgets. We will become part of NHS Humber and North Yorkshire ICB. You can continue to use this website to find the information you need, which remains relevant for the Hull area.

Friday 5 June 2020 saw the first ever Hull and East Riding Mumbler Family Awards winners announced, with NHS Hull CCG, jointly alongside Hull City Council, a proud sponsor of the Healthy and Active Kids award.

Members of the public were encouraged to nominate their favourites things to do with children in the local area, in 8 categories, with the top 5 most nominated in each category then taken forward as finalists for another public vote. January and February 2020 saw over 16,000 votes cast by members of the public across the categories.

NHS Hull CCG and Hull City Council proudly sponsored the Healthy and Active Kids award, which aimed to celebrate the organisations in the city and surrounding areas which encourage children and families to lead healthy, happy lives.

Erica Daley, NHS Hull CCG Interim Chief Operating Officer, said: “We’re really pleased that we were able to sponsor the Healthy and Active Kids award. One of our main aims as an organisation is to support and inspire the next generation to lead healthy lifestyles; this is why we know it is so important for parents, carers and families to have access to high quality support and activities, and for local children to have the opportunity to get involved in the activities that look after their physical and mental wellbeing.”

The official awards ceremony was unfortunately postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic but the enterprising Hull and East Riding Mumbler team took the ceremony online earlier this month, offering a much needed boost and pick me up to the many local organisations and attractions which are currently not running due to the COVID-19 lockdown measures.

The winner of the Healthy and Active Kids award was local organisation Water Babies who provide swimming lessons packed full of fun, with brain-boosting play and signing during the lessons which can be attended from birth.

Erica added: “Water Babies is a worthy winner of this award. Swimming is a great cardiovascular exercise and life skill, plus skin-to-skin and eye contact means it is a great chance for baby to bond and connect with their swimming partner. Congratulations Water Babies!”

Rachael Smith, who started the Hull and East Riding Mumbler website 5 years ago, said: “The first ever Hull and East Riding Mumbler Awards celebrate the businesses that wouldn’t usually appear on a Local Business Awards platform.”

“All of the nominees and finalists do a fantastic job providing things to do and places to go for families in East Yorkshire and it has been a real boost to celebrate them all, especially during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic when a lot of them are still closed. Congratulations to all the winners!”
