From 1 July 2022, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) will be dissolved, and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) will take over the responsibility for NHS functions and budgets. We will become part of NHS Humber and North Yorkshire ICB. You can continue to use this website to find the information you need, which remains relevant for the Hull area.

Make sure you get the right care this August Bank Holiday

Humber and North Yorkshire residents are encouraged to choose the correct healthcare service during the upcoming bank holiday weekend.

The NHS can be particularly busy on weekends and public holidays, but knowing the most appropriate service available and getting the right care reduces pressure on services and avoids unnecessary trips to A&E departments.

If you do become unwell over the bank holiday weekend, you can visit the Let’s Get Better website for information about health services you can access – including the nearest available pharmacy or NHS 111.

If you need to find out which pharmacies/chemists are open this bank holiday then use the link below:

Making sure you have a well-stocked medicine cabinet with items such as paracetamol and ibuprofen will allow you to practice self-care – allowing you to treat minor illnesses and injuries such as sore throats, grazes, and hangovers at home.

If you require urgent medical attention that is not life-threatening, please contact NHS 111; they can provide advice and arrange an appointment at your local GP out-of-hours service.

In medical emergencies which could be life or limb-threatening, such as a heart attack, stroke, severe blood loss or choking, please do not hesitate to call 999 or go to the nearest emergency department.

If you are still trying to decide which service you require, visit the Choose Well page for further information.
